The Nike SB Homegrown is an homage to the skateshop in Ithaca, NY. The focus was to represent the natural elements of this upstate city, while also staying true to the roots of the shop. The overall end result was an experience beyond just the shoe. We created a limited edition box made of wood with etched artwork, tack nailed together, with a screen printed shoe bag. The elements meant to be represented were the natural shale, the waters of the finger lakes, and the greens of the wild wooded region, we added in hiking laces and metal eyelets to simulate a hikers boot.
